Who are Relatus Ltd?
We are a taxation practice specialising in Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) and Land Transaction Tax (LTT).
Yes, we are qualified accountants, qualified taxation technicians and qualified (non-practicing) solicitors. We have specialised in SDLT and LTT for over 10 years and we ensure that we keep up to date with all the relevant changes to the legislation and any new Tribunal decisions.

We offer fixed and contingent fee arrangements as well as an hourly rate to suit our client’s preferences.

I have received a compliance check from HMRC, can you help?

Yes, we are experienced in dealing with compliance checks and representing our clients at the Tax Tribunal.  We can handle all of the correspondence on your behalf and have closed a number of checks with HMRC agreeing our position.

HMRC will issue the refund within approximately 6 weeks of receiving the claim.

SDLT and LTT are complex taxes which are constantly evolving and this means that many conveyancers are unaware of all of the reliefs and exemptions available.  It is not usual practice for a conveyancer to provide specialist advice in relation to taxation during a property purchase.
